FINNALY! A calm after the crazy...

It has been a wild and crazy few months around here for the past 2 years. I finally graduated form College. It is a great feeling and such a relief at the same time. Love  the fact that i will now have more time for my family and maybe even a little time for myself every now and then. As a mom, any mom would know, that doesn't always  happen. LOL

So now that i will have more time on my hands, i can write about a few crazy things going on in our little lives. In case you are not up on what we having going on around here. We homeschool, and do public school, we have backyeard chickens, and play sports. I have a teenager a preteener and a toddler. Soooo at the moment i kind of have a hand in almost everything. I also graduated from college with my computer netwroking degree, so i am kind of a Geek too.

I just signed up for Loot Crate This is the first time I have signed up for it and I am excited to see what i get. I will for sure show everyone all the cool stuff i get. SO EXCITED!

I can warn you now the next post will most likely be chickens.

I have soooo been a slacker in my blogging.

So I have really been lazy, busy and slacking in the whole blog part of my life. but I will do my best to do at least one a month. If I am lucky, I may have time for more. I can tell you they will be random. I will post everything from my kids, to computer stuff, to chickens. YES.... I said chickens. We have backyard chickens. I will do my best to mix it all up and post different stuff to keep you on your toes. So for now, while I work on another blog to post, enjoy this random picture of Storm Troopers feeding chicks.

LIFE.....So many words, some not so pretty. LOL

So.... I didn't realize how long it had been since my last blog. It is funny to look back and see the exact time that "Life" came up and slapped me up side the head and tripped me backwards on my butt. I had a pretty hard and confusing few months. And I really hate to say it was chaos, cause I refuse to let the devil have that kind of hold on me. ( 1 Corinthians 14:33) . Lets just say it has been a ride. LOL I have had a pretty heavy load on my plate for a while but I am learning to manage it better. Since my last blog I need to show you the very cute and amazing last foodie pen pal box I got. We started homeschooling our son. So I some interesting new insight on all of that.  And just school and basic amazing life. :) I will go in and give each New (old) update it's own post, as it deserves. You will be hearing from me soon.

The Big Reveal

Today is the big reveal day! I get to tell you about my Foodie Pen Pals Box i got for the month of September. This was also my first time doing the program.

In case you are not familiar with the whole Foodie Pen Pals thing. It is a exclusive club that no one can get in too. LOL... Just Kidding! It is a fun and interesting way to be a Pen Pal. It started a year ago this September, and has really grown. It is for USA and UK and Canada residents. Here is a little about how it works. After you sign up at the link above. (The highlighted Foodie Pen Pals)
-On the 5th of the month, you will receive your pen pal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your pen pal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your pen pal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!

OK..... So with out further adieu.... Here it is

I got a great and Yummy box from T.J. Johnson  from Colorado. So here is a break down of what was in it. Starting with the Beautiful card he send with the explanation.
-The card is a pic of The Glass Museum in Tacoma, WA.
- A Justin's Peanut Butter cups in Dark Chocolate. ( They were the first thing in my belly :) )
- O.N.E coconut water
- Annie Chun's Seaweed Chips with Sesame
- Nude Food Chocolate Chia Bar
- KIND bar
- 2 Chia Shots
- Sweet Chili Sauce

I was at school when the box came. So when i got home i came home to a open box and had to fit my family to get away. LOL The first thing i eat when i saw it was the Justin's PB cups. YUM! They are so good. can' ever get tired of them. The Chia seed shots were so cool. I have not seen any of these around here. So i was really excited to try them out. They were really yummy and filling. Great in yogurt or straight in the mouth. Loved them. The KIND bar was next to go, they are great to go bars. And with our family of 5 and me in school full time. It was a great and much needed snack. The O.N.E. coconut water is always great. If you have never tried it, i recommend it. And then of course the seaweed chips. My daughter loved them! she claimed the whole package. I got to take a few but they went to her room and never returned.LOL

I loved my box! And i enjoyed the whole thing so much that i have signed up for next month too. If you are interested in it, i hope you will sign up too.

Positive view

Many things going on this week to be excited about. I received my Foodie Pen Pals box yesterday. I can't wait to post some pics of what i got and try it all out.I can't post any pics till Oct 1st. I can tell you that the chocolate that was in it was yummy :)

I am on week 4 of of my C25K program. I am sticking to it. I think i would love it a lot more if my shins were not on fire by the time i am done. LOL But i need to find the right shoes and find some shin sleeves, and all will be good. I got a run of 1.8 miles. I may not be a fast runner but my goal is to finish a 5K, not win a 5K. I can do this!

School is going great as well! I have a test in class today.I get to strip a working computer, name all the parts and put it back together, and have it working again. I am excited about it actually. The is my kind of thing.

Time to keep track of it all

I am so excited and a little frantic about all the amazing and exciting new changes going on in our lives that i thought now would be a great time to start a blog and stick to it.

To start with i just started college for the first time in my life. I am excited and a little stressed about the whole thing at the same time. LOL And my oldest son just started Jr High, which makes me feel a little old <UGH>. My middle child is in 3rd and my baby just started preschool.

I also am super excited about this cool new thing i am doing for the first time this month called Foodie Pen Pals by The Lean Green Bean. You get to send a little box of fun foods to other people in the United States and someone different sends something to you. Every month it is a different person you send to and get stuff from. Sounds so fun i can't wait to get going on it.

I have also started running. I have not run for exercise or fun since i was in high school. I have missed it so much since just never really had the drive or time or desire to start again till now. i decide it was enough excuses and needed to get started. So i started the Couch to 5K (C25K)program. I am on week 3 so far and even though it has been hard i have loved every minute of it. I can't wait to post about my first 5K!  More to come as i remember thing to mention. Blessings!
